GEORGE D. CASCINO, P.E., P.P. - OWNER
Founder of Cascino Engineering & Planning, established in 1984, George has over 50 years of engineering, environmental, and planning experience. He spent 3 years with the United States Public Health Service specializing in air pollution control in the late 1960's. He then joined the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission as their Environmental Engineer when they opened for business in 1970. In 1972 he was appointed Chief Engineer of the HMDC and served in that capacity until 1984.
As Chief Engineer he directed a large professional staff in their review of all development applications, and enforcement of stringent environmental regulations, within the 14 municipality Meadowlands District. He and his staff were issued a professional achievement award by Governor Brendan Byrne in 1977 acknowledging his staff as being the foremost State Engineering Department in State Government. Also in 1977, the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers selected him as their "Young Engineer of the Year," an accomplishment which was similarly acknowledged that year by the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey. Upon his departure from the HMDC in 1984, he received a personal acknowledgement for his dedicated service at the HMDC from then Governor Thomas H. Kean. (Curriculum Vitae).
Today he provides personalized professional services to his clients in his current practice as a licensed civil engineer and planner. (List of Clients). He prides himself in the ability to design a project, facing a myriad of governmental and/or physical roadblocks, from conception to completion. He, his dedicated staff, and in professional association with specialized disciplines, including Land Surveyors, Traffic Engineers, Architects and Attorneys, allow him to provide clients with full civil engineering and planning services.
